About Coffeeseed
Coffeeseed is a technology company that believes the future of the specialty coffee industry will be defined by access. Access means removing the friction in the coffee value chain, enabling easier trading partner discovery, making transactions simpler, providing objective coffee quality, sourcing, and environmental verification. It means finding better ways to work together.
Coffeeseed Imaging App is a mobile application that aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of coffee bean quality verification for exporters and importers. With this app, users can take photos of bean samples and use machine vision technology to detect defects and assess overall consistency. This helps ensure that only high-quality beans are traded, leading to better profits for all parties involved.
The app is designed to be user-friendly and accessible, making it easy for users to quickly and accurately assess the quality of their coffee beans. Overall, the Coffeeseed Imaging App is a valuable tool for the coffee industry, helping to improve the efficiency and accuracy of coffee bean quality verification.
As a UI designer on the Coffeeseed Imaging App project, I was responsible for designing the user interface of the app. This included creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to illustrate the app's features and functionality. I worked closely with the development team to ensure that the app was visually appealing, easy to use, and intuitive for users. My design choices and recommendations played a crucial role in the success of the app, as a well-designed interface can greatly improve the user's experience and overall satisfaction with the product. Overall, my contribution as a UI designer was invaluable to the success of the Coffeeseed Imaging App.

Created the overall design of the app, re-implementing the existing identity brand like color scheme, color palette and visual elements.

UI Design Process
For the development of this project, the client states that he wants to continue with the identity brand that they already had, implementing the logo, illustrations and color palette that represent earth tones and nature.
For the development of the Android application, I worked on auto layout designs, and the alignment system of eight by four points to maintain the consistency and harmony of the design.

The present design was developed for Android, below you can see some elements
I chose a typeface the represents legibility, cleanliness and a touch of warm. Commonly used for personal or professional projects. The logo and color palette was previously provided by the client.
Prototype
With Coffeeseed, coffee traders can easily examine and analyze coffee samples, helping them to make more informed decisions when it comes to purchasing and selling coffee.
As I was specifically responsible for the user interface design of the Coffeeseed Android app. To create a seamless design process, as I mention before, I utilized both Figma and Adobe XD, the eight by four point design system which was carefully implemented to ensure that the UI was both functional and visually appealing. My goal was to create a user-friendly interface, making it easy to navigate and access the necessary information.

Overall, I am proud of the UI design that I created for the Coffeeseed Android app, and I believe it will be a valuable tool for coffee traders looking to stay ahead of the competition.
